Instructions for Battery Replacement

Model: Volkswagen Passat 3BG, B5 - Years 1996-2005

The battery is located in the engine compartment, at the rear, just below the windscreen; before disconnecting the terminals, ensure you have the radio activation code; proceed by disconnecting the battery terminals and removing the mounting bracket; then extract the battery and check that the new battery has the same specifications (dimensions, amperage, terminal positions); insert the new battery into the designated space, secure it with the bracket, and reconnect the terminals after cleaning any corrosion with a wire brush.
