How to Open the Fuel Filler Flap on a Volkswagen Polo 9N1?

To manually open the fuel filler flap on a stuck Volkswagen Polo 9N1, lift the rear bonnet and then raise the side carpet in the boot, on the side where the fuel cap is located. Doing this allows you to see the white plastic locking mechanism that you need to push upwards to unlock the fuel flap. Now, simply unscrew the cap by turning it anti-clockwise and refuel. As soon as possible, check the locking mechanism to determine what caused it to jam and avoid finding yourself in the same situation again.
