That of the alternator is a very particular pulley since it is able to ensure the rotation of the alternator shaft in one direction only: accidental rotations in the opposite direction are prevented thanks to the possibility of the pulley itself to turn idle in that direction. Since there is a bearing inside the pulley, repeated rotation cycles can wear it out making it noisy or even seize it, compromising the operation of the alternator itself. The replacement of the pulley is extremely simple to carry out as long as the appropriate key is available to be able to unscrew and screw it in again (when choosing the new pulley, check the diameter and the number of grooves).

How to set the time on the Peugeot 308
