Wiper Arm Replacement

Model: Volkswagen Passat 3BG, B5 - Years 1996-2005

To replace the wiper arms, open the front bonnet and remove the protective caps from the fastening nuts of the arms; then, unscrew the nuts, lower the bonnet, and pull the arms from their seats (if there are signs of corrosion, spray some penetrating oil); if the wiper blades are still good, remove them from the old arms and fit them onto the new ones by rotating them 90 degrees and disengaging them by pulling them backwards; then, insert the blades onto the new arms, ensuring they click into place, and reattach the arms by tightening the respective fastening nuts and replacing the caps.
