Before proceeding with the replacement of the air conditioning compressor, the gas must be recovered from the system with the appropriate appliance. Once the gas has been recovered, lift the car to access the floor and remove the protection panel located under the engine: the air conditioning compressor is immediately visible; then loosen the tensioner of the auxiliary belt to free the pulley, disconnect the socket and the pipes and then the fixing pins of the compressor itself, removing it from its seat from below; then install the new compressor fixing it with the relative pins, connecting the pipes, the socket, the auxiliary belt and then reassemble the panel; finally, use the special tool to perform the vacuum, refill the gas and insert the oil into the compressor.

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes.
