How to Change the Battery in a Volkswagen Polo

Model: Volkswagen Polo Polo VI, Polo 6, MK 6, AW1, MK VI - Years 2017-2025

In this video, we see the steps to follow to replace the battery in a Volkswagen Polo. First, unlock the bonnet, lift it, and secure it in place using the appropriate stay. At this point, you will have access to the engine compartment and therefore the battery. To remove the battery, first unscrew the fastening nuts from the terminals and disconnect the negative terminal first, followed by the positive terminal. Next, using a 13mm Allen key, unscrew the fastening nuts at the base of the battery, and once done, proceed to extract and replace it by inserting the new battery into the designated space. Secure the battery to the metal base and finally connect the positive terminal first, followed by the negative terminal.
