How to Change the Cabin Filter on Volkswagen Crafter/Man TGE

If you need to change the cabin air filter on the Volkswagen Crafter (or the Man TGE, the process is identical), here’s what to do: the filter is located behind the glove compartment, so you will need to lower it to access the filter compartment. There are two clips on the sides; press them to lower the compartment. You will find a small tray with two screws, one at the top and one at the bottom. Unscrew them and gently extract an electrical component with some connectors at the back. Remove it carefully, and behind it, you will find the filter compartment, which has no cover. Remove the dirty filter, blow out the compartment with compressed air to remove dirt and dust, then replace it with the new filter, ensuring the arrows are pointing downwards. Refit the electrical component and then reassemble the glove compartment. Operation complete.
