Replacing the External Mirror Adjustment Button

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003

To replace the external mirror adjustment button, first remove the door panel: start by detaching the internal cover of the handle, where the window switch is located; then unscrew the screws underneath and those under the edge of the panel; next, unclip the retaining clips and pull the panel away from the door by sliding it out from the window scraper and disconnecting the lock cable; at this point, disconnect the connector from the mirror adjustment button, remove it from its housing and fit the new one, then reverse the process for reassembly.
