How to Change the Battery on a Volkswagen Beetle

If you need to replace the battery in your vehicle, follow the instructions below. Open the bonnet and locate the battery box on the left side behind the headlamp. Remove the cover first and then unscrew the screws on the sides that hold the casing. Next, disconnect the negative terminal followed by the positive terminal. Pull the battery out of its housing and position the new one. Reconnect the positive terminal first and then the negative terminal, and refit the side casing and the top cover.
