Resetting the Service and Inspection Light on a Volkswagen Passat

Model: Volkswagen Passat B8, 3G, MK 8 - Years 2014-2023

To reset the service and inspection light, get into the vehicle and keep the ignition off. Press and hold the button under the speedometer (0.0). While holding this button, turn on the ignition to start the car; at this point, a message will appear on the central display asking if you want to reset the service, so press the button (0.0) again to confirm the reset. To reset the inspection light, turn off the vehicle, press and hold the button (0.0), and start the car. Continue holding until it asks if you want to reset the inspection, then confirm by pressing the button (0.0). Reset complete.
