To replace the fuel filler flap on a Volkswagen Golf, open it by pressing the button located on the centre console: this will open the flap and allow you to completely remove the fuel cap. This way, you can loosen the screws securing the cover around the cap, removing it along with the attached flap.

Once the old flap has been removed, you can insert the new one, securing it with the appropriate internal screws and checking that it functions correctly.
