Replacing Brake Pads and Discs

Model: Volkswagen Passat 3BG, B5 - Years 1996-2005

This guide illustrates all the operations from removing the wheel to checking the wear of the pads, then proceeding to remove the caliper, from which the pads are extracted. At this point, unscrew the bolts that hold the brake disc in place from the inside for a condition check, then move on to reassembly. Reattach the brake wear sensor, refit the wheel, and to ensure the system returns to efficiency, press the brake pedal several times. Now your brakes are as good as new!
