How to Replace the Timing Belt on a Volkswagen Up

To replace the timing belt on a Volkswagen Up, open the bonnet to access the components located within the engine bay: on the left side, you will find the side cover of the engine block, which must be removed by loosening its fastening screws. This will allow you to locate the underlying belt, which can be extracted by removing the tensioner pulley; at this point, you can install the new belt around the pulleys, reposition the tensioner pulley, and check that everything functions correctly.
