To perform the service reset on a Volkswagen Golf VII, first, with the engine off, press and hold the central button below the speedometer display. Now, turn on the ignition without starting the vehicle. The display will immediately show a request to perform the oil reset, so release the button previously pressed and press it a second time to confirm and execute the reset. To also reset the maintenance light, the procedure is the same; just wait a few seconds when turning on the ignition to make the maintenance interval reset request appear on the display.
