- Years 2012-2019 Let's see together the steps on how to disassemble and replace the rear brake pads of the Volkswagen Golf, following the instructions below. First, we lift the vehicle, raising it; then we unscrew the fixing screws of the rear brake caliper, removing it from the disc, as shown in the video. At this point, we remove the pad clip, in order to remove them; now we clean the caliper from the residual dirt, applying pressure on the caliper piston to retract it. Finally, we install the new, high-quality brake pads!
