How to Reset the Service Light on a Volkswagen Polo 6N

Model: Volkswagen Polo MK III, Polo III, Polo 3, MK 3, 6N - Years 1994-2003

To reset the service light on a Volkswagen Polo 6N (the older model from 1994-2003), press and hold the button located on the speedometer, under the LCD screen. While holding the button, turn on the ignition (without starting the engine) until "--" appears on the display. Release the button and switch off the vehicle. You can also use this method to cancel the inspection request, which, as you know, has a different schedule from regular service intervals on Volkswagen vehicles. Instead of "oil", the display will show "insp", but the procedure is exactly the same.
