How to remove the door panel on the Volkswagen Passat?

The first step to remove the door panel on a Volkswagen Passat is to remove the plastic cover of the handle. Use a plastic trim tool to assist with this operation, or a flat screwdriver, although the latter is not recommended for those with less experience as it may damage the interior. Disconnect the switches and unscrew the screws under the handle and those at the bottom of the panel. Release the panel using the plastic trim tool again and finish the operation by disconnecting the electrical connectors.
