To correctly replace the battery inside the smart key of your Volkswagen Polo Mk5 (2009-2017), follow these simple steps. First, release the physical emergency key by pressing the metal button located at the top front of the cover. Next, remove the rear cover using your hands and locate the exhausted battery situated just underneath. Finally, remove the old battery and insert the new one. Refit the rear cover, and you are done.
