Then, remove both the wheel and the inner wheel arch cover. Slightly support the suspension arm with a second jack, undo the upper mounting bolts, and then the lower ones.

At this point, you can remove the old shock absorber, fit the replacement by following the reverse procedure, and repeat the operation on the opposite side.
