To disable the alarm on a Volkswagen Golf, connect a diagnostic tool to the vehicle's OBD port: this is located on the lower left side of the dashboard, near the steering column. Once the scanner is connected, select the car model and its corresponding version; this will allow you to follow the settings shown in the tutorial to disable or reactivate the alarm.

After this, you can disconnect the scanner and check that the alarm is disabled.
