This short video tutorial shows how to replace the battery on a fifth-generation Volkswagen Golf, produced from 2003 to 2008. First, open the bonnet and remove the battery cover; then disconnect the negative terminal first, followed by the positive terminal using a 10mm spanner. Next, remove part of the air hose to access the securing nut at the base of the battery and remove it with a 13mm socket. Finally, lift the front compartment of the battery upwards and then remove the battery; now you can install a new battery by following the reverse procedure.
