Replacing the battery in the key remote of a Volkswagen Golf 8 is very simple. You will need a flathead screwdriver and a new battery of the correct model, which is CR 2032. Take the car remote and first extract the metal key inside it; to do this, press the button on the edge of the casing and pull the key outwards. Now, insert the tip of the key into the recess shown and lever it to open the casing and access the battery compartment. Using the screwdriver tip, pry up the edge of the battery and proceed to remove it and replace it.
