How to reset the oil change light on a 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan?

The procedure to turn off the light that reminds you it's time for an oil change takes less than ten seconds to complete and applies to both the 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan and the model produced the previous year (2018) and the following year (2020). Start with the instrument cluster off and the key inserted. While holding down the button in the centre of the dashboard, turn the key. Now release the button and press it again once, without holding it down. This completes the procedure.
