How to Remove the ECU from the Volkswagen Jetta

Removing and replacing the engine control unit does not require any special tools; however, take care not to damage it during removal. First, open the bonnet of the vehicle and start by removing the cover located at the top of the engine bay by unscrewing the fixing screws. At the rear, you will find the engine control unit, where you will unscrew the screws and disconnect the various wiring to remove it, as shown in the video. At this point, carry out the repair or replacement of the control unit!
