Replacing Front Discs and Pads

Model: Volkswagen Transporter T5, MK 5 - Years 2003-2014
Part: Brake rotors

To perform this maintenance, lift the vehicle on a ramp and remove the front wheel; take off the protective caps from the caliper mounting pins and unscrew the pins to remove the caliper and pads; then remove the caliper bracket and the disc mounting bolt; clean the disc seat on the hub, apply grease, and install the new disc after cleaning off the protective oil; brush and reattach the caliper bracket, applying thread lock to the respective pins, retract the caliper piston, insert the new pads, and tighten the caliper mounting pins after lubricating them.
