Replacing the cabin filter on a Volkswagen Golf

Periodically, you need to replace the cabin filter on a Volkswagen Golf to ensure air quality inside the car. To do this, sit in the front passenger seat and unscrew the two screws that secure the panel under the glove compartment in front of you. Once removed, you will have access to the plastic cover of the filter, which can be slid off sideways. You can then remove the old filter and place the new filter element. Refit and secure the cover and reposition the panel, fastening it with its screws.
