In this tutorial, you will see how to replace the headlight bulbs in the Volkswagen New Beetle, a task that is extremely simple and quick. First, ensure that the key is not in the ignition for safety. Then, open the bonnet and, using a 5 mm socket spanner, loosen the bolt located on the inner side of the headlamp in question. Next, disconnect the power connector, separate the headlamp from the bodywork, and remove the large rear cover by unlocking the relevant clip. At this point, simply replace the faulty bulb and follow the reverse procedure.
