Replacement of the Air Conditioning Compressor

Model: Volkswagen Jetta MK 5, A5 - Years 2005-2010

Before proceeding with the removal of the air conditioning compressor, you should recover the gas present in the system; it is recommended to take note, with a sketch or a photo, of the routing of the auxiliary belts on their respective pulleys as there are two; then loosen the tensioner of the outer belt to remove it and do the same for the other belt; at this point, unscrew the two fixing bolts of the compressor located just below the alternator, then disconnect the pipes and proceed in reverse for installation, repositioning the belts before performing a vacuum in the system and reintroducing the gas and lubricating oil into the compressor.
