How to Reset the Service Light on a Volkswagen Passat 3BG?

Looking at the dashboard of the Volkswagen Passat 3BG, you will notice two buttons beside the small display, one on each side. Both are used to reset the service on this model of car. Here’s how to do it. After inserting the key into the ignition barrel, first hold down the button on the right side of the display while turning the key to switch on the instrument cluster. Without releasing the right button, use your other hand to turn the left button to the right. Now you can release the other button and switch off the ignition.
