How to reset the trip odometer on a Volkswagen Polo?

Model: Volkswagen Polo Polo 5, Polo V, MK 5, MK V, 6R - Years 2009-2017

To reset the trip odometer on a Volkswagen Polo, turn on the ignition by rotating the key in the ignition switch. Once the ignition is on, press and hold the 0.0/SET button located in the centre of the instrument cluster. Keep this button pressed until the trip odometer is completely reset; after resetting the odometer, you can turn off the ignition by rotating the key and turn it back on to confirm that the reset has been successful.
