To disable the Start&Stop on the Volkswagen Golf, lever off the central tunnel panel surrounding the gear lever using a tool. Once this panel is removed, disconnect the underlying connector connected to the Start&Stop disable button.

After disconnecting this button, connect a diagnostic tool to the vehicle's OBD port to disable the system via the scanner; once disabled, disconnect the scanner to ensure everything functions correctly.
