To disable the Start&Stop system on the Volkswagen Golf, you need to use a diagnostic tool, in this case, OBD 11, which can be controlled directly from your smartphone. Select item number 19, "Gateway": by modifying the parameters on the app screen, you will be able to disable the system. Then, from the central touchscreen display, select the "Start&Stop" option and resolve any errors indicated, such as an unfastened seatbelt. After driving a few metres, the indicator will appear, signalling the deactivation of the Start&Stop system.
