Replacement and Maintenance of the Battery

Model: Volkswagen Sharan MK 1, 7M - Years 1995-2010

Remove the air intake duct by unscrewing the necessary bolts and pull off only the inlet part without the side hose, which is removed by pressing the buttons to unlock it. Now remove the bolt to detach the air duct up to the filter, and to remove the hose connected to it, disconnect the connectors for the sensors and also detach the tie that secures the hose. Now you can remove the battery cover and the side cover. Finally, remove the bolts securing the battery, starting with the negative terminal, then remove the bolts that fix the battery to the car's structure. Now retrace all the steps in reverse to install the new battery.
