To replace the external handle on the Volkswagen Golf, open the door to detach the rubber covers located on the side of the door. Underneath, you will find the screws securing the lock cylinder to its housing. Once the screws are loosened, you can extract the cylinder from the outside, freeing the handle from its housing; the new replacement part can then be inserted, followed by repositioning the lock cylinder and securing it with the side screws.
