Where is the control unit located in the Volkswagen New Beetle?

In this video we can see where the control unit is located in the Volkswagen New Beetle and how to proceed in case we need to replace it, a very simple operation. As shown, the control unit is located inside the cabin, in the central area of the dashboard right in front of the windshield. To access it and then remove it, we start by unclipping the central panel, then unscrew the indicated screws and also remove the two side panels. We then open the cover that has just been freed, disconnect the two connectors of the control unit and remove it from the housing.
