How does Lane Assist work?

In this video we see in detail how the Lane Assist system works, that is, lane keeping. It is an option that we can choose to keep activated or not on our onboard computer: usually just press a button, or activate it through the infotainment and an icon appears on the dashboard. In order for the radar to read the horizontal signage, it is essential that it is clearly visible on the roadway, so it is particularly useful on fast-moving roads, such as highways and motorways; this does not mean that you can be distracted from driving, it is just an additional safety measure for you and your passengers. To change lanes without the system activating, simply use the turn signal and turn the steering wheel. The Traffic Jam Assist works instead in city traffic, and is the combination of lane assist + cruise control + radar, but in the city the horizontal signage is not always clearly visible.
