In this video, see in detail how the Lane Assist system works, which helps maintain your lane. This is an option you can choose to keep activated or not on your onboard computer: usually, it just requires pressing a button or activating it via the infotainment system, and an icon will appear on the dashboard.

For the radar to read the road markings, they must be clearly visible on the road, making it particularly useful on fast-moving roads like dual carriageways and motorways; this does not mean you can distract yourself from driving, it is merely an added safety feature for you and your passengers.

To change lanes without the system activating, simply indicate and turn the steering wheel.

The Traffic Jam Assist works in city traffic and combines lane assist, cruise control, and radar, but in urban areas, road markings are not always clearly visible.
