Installing the Rear Bumper Skirt on the Volkswagen Golf

If you want to give the Volkswagen Golf a more aggressive look, the market offers a wide selection of rear bumper skirts. Once you have obtained the model you like, proceed with the installation.

Using a 10mm spanner, remove the rear lights, disconnect the electrical connectors, and set them aside. In the light housing, you will find two screws, three more screws will be located in the rear wheel arch, and two are found on the lower edge of the bumper.

Once these screws are removed, the bumper assembly will come off. Taking care with the sensor and reverse camera cables, lay it down, remove the number plate holder, and begin detaching the bumper skirt. Once separated, remove the metal clips that serve as bases for the fixing screws from the old skirt and install them on the new one. Attach the new skirt to the bumper and start reassembling everything on the car, securing it with its screws.

Refit the number plate and the two rear lights.
