Volkswagen Golf - Video tutorial

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf V, MK 5, Golf 5 - Years 2003-2008
Part: Rear bumper
Operation: Installation of the rear bumper of the Volkswagen Golf.

If we want to give the Volkswagen Golf a more aggressive look with a lower bumper, the market offers a wide choice. Once we have obtained the model that satisfies us, we proceed with the installation. Using a 10mm key, we remove the rear lights, disconnect the electrical connectors and set them aside. In the frame of the lights, we will find two screws, three more screws can be found in the rear bumper arch, and two more are located in the lower edge of the bumper. Once these screws are removed, the bumper block will come off. Being careful with the sensor and rear camera cables, we lay it on the ground, remove the license plate holder and begin to detach the lower bumper. Once separated, we remove the metal clips, which serve as a base for the fixing screws, from the old lower bumper and install them on the new one. We attach the new lower bumper to the bumper and begin to reassemble everything on the car, securing it with its screws. We reattach the license plate and the two rear lights.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
