To deactivate the AdBlue warning light on a Volkswagen Sharan, first, top up the additive liquid by adding the necessary amount into the system: once this is done, you can connect a diagnostic tool to the vehicle's OBD port. This will be located at the lower left part of the dashboard relative to the steering column: doing this will allow you to reset the error that causes the warning light to illuminate.

You can then disconnect the scanner to verify that the warning light disappears completely from the instrument cluster.
