How do you reset the AdBlue warning light on the Volkswagen Sharan?

In order to deactivate the AdBlue warning light of the Volkswagen Sharan, you must first top up the additional fluid, adding the necessary amount to the system: once this has been done, you can connect a diagnostic tool to the vehicle's OBD port. This can be found on the lower left side of the dashboard, next to the steering column: by doing so, you can reset the error that triggers the warning light. Then you can disconnect the scanner, to ensure that the light disappears completely from the instrument panel.
