The procedure for replacing the timing belt of the Volkswagen Passat involves lifting the car with a jack or a lift, so that the right front wheel is not in contact with the ground: this way it will be possible to loosen the bolts that fix it to the hub and also remove the inner cover of the corresponding wheel arch. Behind it there will be the timing belt, which must be removed from its seat by loosening the central nut of the tensioner pulley: at this point it will be possible to insert the new replacement part, checking that everything works.
