The procedure for adjusting the handbrake of the Volkswagen Polo involves removing the trim panel from the rear of the central tunnel: once this panel has been detached, it will be possible to locate the nut underneath that adjusts the tension of the handbrake cable. By tightening the bolt, the handbrake lever will be harder and have a reduced travel; conversely, by loosening the bolt, the travel will be greater and the lever softer. At the end of the procedure, it will be possible to reassemble the panel in the rear of the tunnel.
