To remove the door panel of the Volkswagen Passat, use a tool to pry off the trim of the armrest: this will give you access to the screws underneath, which can all be loosened and removed. Once these screws have been unscrewed, you can also loosen those located at the bottom of the panel: this will allow you to detach it from its housing by disconnecting the underlying connectors.

This way, you can insert the new door panel, securing it in place and reinstalling the trim.
