How do you adjust the handbrake of the Volkswagen Polo?

The adjustment procedure for the Volkswagen Polo is carried out by levering with an object, so that it is possible to detach the plastic covering of the central tunnel: once this covering has been detached, it will be possible to locate the handbrake adjustment cable underneath, with its corresponding bolt. This can be adjusted by tightening or loosening the bolt: by tightening it, the handbrake will be harder and its travel will be reduced; conversely, by loosening the bolt, it will be possible to increase the handbrake travel, making it softer.
