First of all, park the car on a flat surface and completely turn it off, then let it cool down for a few minutes. Once you have done this, go outside and lift the front hood to access the engine and therefore the protection cover. Then pull the cover upwards, being careful not to damage it, and completely remove it. At this point, you can proceed with any cleaning or replacement.
