How to Remove and Refit the Cover of the External Rear-View Mirror

Model: Volvo S40 MK 2 - Years 2004-2012

This video illustrates the correct procedure to remove and refit the cover from the external rear-view mirror of a Volvo S40. No tools are required for this procedure. Use both hands to gently press on the indicated point in the video, then pull the cover off: it will come off easily. Once removed, you will notice it was attached to the mirror by three delicate clips. Be careful not to break them during the operation. There are also two plastic inserts that fit into the holes on the back of the mirror. To refit the cover, repeat the reverse operation: position it on the mirror and press gently with both hands. You will hear a double "click".
