Replacement of T5 Bulbs for Climate Control

Model: Volvo S40 MK 1 - Years 1995-2004

First, remove the climate control adjustment knobs by pulling them outward. Using a small flat screwdriver or a plastic trim tool, detach the plastic surround around the climate control: along with the surround, the climate control electronic board will come away, which also holds the two illumination bulbs for the controls: the bulb holder is bayonet-mounted, so simply rotate it 90° to extract it and replace the bulb (generally of type T5).
