Disassembly of Rear Headlight Lights on Volvo S40

Model: Volvo S40 MK 2 - Years 2004-2012

Are the rear headlight bulbs damaged? Let's remove the bulbs from above inside the lights. Lift the boot lid, then remove the fabric/plastic cover located on the side of the side trim. Release the plastic clips of the bulb holder, disconnect the power connectors attached to the bulb holder. Replace the damaged bulbs with new ones (same voltage) at hand. Reassemble the bulb holder and secure the plastic clips. Refit the inspection cover and close the boot lid. Turn on the instrument panel and test the lights.
