Speaker Disassembly Instructions

Model: Volvo S40 MK 1 - Years 1995-2004

First, remove the metal grille on the dashboard protecting the speaker by prying it with a small flathead screwdriver (apply insulating tape to the tip of the screwdriver to avoid scratches); pull the speaker upwards to extract it from its housing (it is simply clipped in, there are no fixing screws).
Disconnect the connector attached to it, then reconnect it before placing it back in its housing: orient it correctly so that the fixing lugs align with the appropriate slots, press it until it clicks in place, and reapply the grille.
