Installation of Auxiliary Antenna Lift Switch

Model: Volvo S70 MK 1 - Years 1996-2000

Start by obtaining a switch similar to those already present on the control console, such as the fog light switch; directly opposite the original fog light switch are caps where the new switches can be fitted, such as the one for operating the car radio antenna; replace the fog light icon with the antenna symbol to identify the switch; extract the factory radio and run two wires from the radio to the location of the new switch; intercept the white-blue wire behind the radio socket and create a bypass with the two newly inserted wires; then connect the other ends of the wires to the switch, taking power from the socket next to the fog light switch. You will then be able to raise and lower the antenna as needed.
