How to Replace the Tail Light on a Volvo XC60

To change the tail light on your Volvo XC60, access it from the trunk. Near the light, there is a panel in the trim that you will easily remove. Using a ratchet wrench, which will allow easier access to the compartment, remove the bolts securing the light assembly. (In the video, the person performing the repair prefers to remove the entire panel for easier access instead of using the designated compartment. They also decide to loosen the rear bumper; you can judge if this is necessary. However, they also removed the rear hatch to do this job.) Disconnect the connectors that link the light assembly to the electrical system and take it out of its housing. Now you can take your new light assembly, reposition it by reconnecting the connectors, and secure it with its screws from inside the trunk. Finally, replace the trim panel in its place. The job is done.
