Removing the Centre Console Switch Panel

Model: Volvo S40 MK 1 - Years 1995-2004

On the centre console, just behind the gear lever and near the handbrake, is the window switch panel: to remove it, you do not need to take off the entire console covering, just detach the gaiter from the gear lever and press from underneath on the clips of the switch panel itself. Once the switch panel is extracted, simply disconnect the relevant plugs to complete the removal. This is an extremely simple operation that requires no special tools or technical skills: just a bit of manual dexterity.
